Another Childhood Favorite: Chuck Wagon Beans

This week, we are serving another favorite recipe from The Lucky Wife’s childhood. The Well-Fed Son also loves it, and we will soon know what The Well-Fed Daughter thinks of it. Not only does it have great flavor, but it’s so easy to make, perfect for during the school year when you need a quick and easy, no-brainer meal for your family. Enjoy…..

Chuck Wagon Beans



Ingredients:
  • 2 15.5-ounce cans pinto beans, drained
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 Tablespoon molasses
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 Tablespoon salt

Cooking Directions:
  1. Brown ground beef and onions.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 20-30 minutes.
