What is worship?
Usually when I think of worship, I think of the Sunday church service experience. Music is always a part of my idea of worship. But worship is much more than this! The Sunday church service type of experience is corporate worship, where Believers come together to worship as a body, or group.
The above photo was taken by one of the youth at my church at a Jesus Culture concert. During the welcome, a speaker stated perfectly how I think God intended for us to view worship:
Worship is a Lifestyle!
The Bible says in Romans 12:1:
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
So day by day, moment by moment, those who follow Jesus are to be living our lives sacrificially unto Him … this is worship! How are we doing?
This area of our blog will serve as a place of worship. We’ll change up the content here from time to time. We may share in our Facebook community (link coming) when we’ve made changes. It’s a work in progress so not exactly sure how it will work just yet, but we want to create a place here where you can find encouragement, strength, inspiration … whatever you might need in your own faith journey.
