For some time now, I have enjoyed participating in Women Living Well Wednesday link-up parties, so I was excited when Courtney announced a couple of weeks ago that she would be hosting a Blog Bash. Blog parties are always a lot of fun!
Let me introduce myself to those of you who may be new here. I’m Anne, The Lucky Wife to The Chef, who does the vast majority of the cooking in our home (which I think qualifies me as one blessed wife, but I figured a lot of people might relate better to “lucky”…).
We decided towards the end of 2010 to start a food blog as a New Year’s endeavor to share recipes and our passion for food with family and friends.
Of course, our initial audience was family and “old friends.” As we began exploring the blogosphere and interacting with other bloggers, our audience has grown to include new friends. A quote I came across a few years ago that has stuck with me is, “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold.” It’s always fun making new friends… adding some silver to your life!
Some of the Women Living Well community have been interested in, and hopefully enjoyed, some of the recipes or other posts we’ve shared at Wednesday parties. If you’ve visited us before and are back again, we’d like to say thank you and welcome you to our little corner of the internet.
I thought I would share a favorite recipe that’s one of The Chef’s newer creations:
It’s bursting with flavor and really delicious, and it’s a part of our Feast of the Ages series, which I think you might enjoy checking out also. The most popular recipe from that series has been the Lemon Lime Ice Cream Soda Shots with Banana Pudding Discs a close second.
So far, we’ve served a variety of different types of recipes, including quite a few low-allergenic recipes, as our family monitors the amount of certain foods in our diet due to food sensitivities. We also have shared other types of food posts that have been popular, including:
Lunchbox Ideas
Beauty, Body Image and Anorexia
Debt-Free Living/Dave Ramsey
Mom-Friendly Recipes
Crockpot/Slow Cooker recipes are always a hit. And if you love Christmas as much as we do, I think you’d enjoy our 100-Day Countdown to Christmas series going on right now. Be sure to check out our great Christmas cookbook giveaway also that ends Sunday.
I hope you find some delicious recipes you think your family would enjoy trying while you are here! A few that we rotate through our weekly menus regularly are Crockpot Turkey Meatloaf, Chuckwagon Beans and Squash and Goat Cheese Casserole.
I’m looking forward to learning more about you and your blog through this party. While you are here… would you mind sharing what type of recipe you are most interested in finding when you visit food blogs? We always enjoy feedback from our readers!
Have a blessed week…
