Perhaps it’s you, your child, a coworker, your child’s classmate… I was excited to find today’s features, because now that The Well-Fed Son is in school, I love having ideas that are good for any children in his class with food allergies. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to suffer from a food allergy and to have to completely avoid some type of food, especially as a child! I was thankful when our family did an elimination diet that our problems were related to sensitivity instead. More than 12 million Americans have food allergies and their prevalence seems to be on the rise, according to FoodAllergy.org.

And if that’s not enough… look at how she wraps different cookies with cute ingredient labels to help those with allergies be certain what they are eating is safe for them:

I love these ideas, and I hope they are helpful for those of you who know people that suffer from food allergies. Not fun. Even with sensitivities, we feel bad sometimes for our son when he cannot have something his sister is having. We try to compensate by having something for him that he can have instead that we know he will enjoy, but with a limited list, its always nice to find new ideas.
Our gift ideas for today follow this food allergy theme, along with some natural and organic options. They are all Amazon-customer top-rated:
