According to a biography found on the website for the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden at the Springfield Museums, over 200 million copies of his books had been sold at the time of his death, making him one of the most popular and most loved authors of all time. His books are commonly given as a first book to children (although, I could not find the source where I originally read that). Is there a special child you’re shopping for this year?
